My passion is designing and handcrafting jewellery, headpieces, and clothing in Renaissance and Tudor style. Each product carries the name Fuchsikat – a play on words meaning “a unique creation of the fox.”
Every piece is lovingly handcrafted, with inspiration drawn from history, cultures around the world, and my own imagination. The result: authentic, artistic accessories that are truly one-of-a-kind.
My inspiration
I combine influences from the Renaissance and Tudor period with ideas from different times and cultures. By studying historical techniques and experimenting with materials, I create jewellery, costumes, and accessories that bring the past to life – yet are wearable today.

A fuchsikat is made by hand and is therefore a unique piece. If a tailor-made fuchsikat is produced with decorations, it is and remains a unique specimen.

A fuchsikat as hair decoration
For the representation of a person from the Middle Ages a headpiece is almost indispensable. This was also used for the allocation of the upscale or simple status and often also the marital status.
From the Renaissance cap, hair net to the hat (Pillbox or Fascinator) for the simple representation or the nobility with decorations, borders and pearls for noble garments.
The perfect headdress in less than a minute!
And your medieval or renaissance robe is complete! You can actually do that with a simple concept. A fuchsikat cap is equipped with loops into which a hairband is pushed. The hair net has a rubber. Simply put on both. Done!
If a band is preferred for closing, this can be made gladly.
Fascinators, pillboxes, hats and berets have loops for fastening with hair clips or ribbons.
